All depends on whether promotion bonus's etc. were in their contracts. Even then it was only 50/50 whether they would be promoted and actually cash in.
I would be seriously fcuked off if i were a Milwall fan to the point i hope their ownership considers legal action.
Wonder how much of this Parsons or others knew about. If any above Tonda did, a complete reset is required even if that means a relegation. Whilst not stealing from charities levels, its disgusting. [Post edited 20 May 7:47]

Can the fans sue the club? I only go to a handful of games a season so I don’t mean someone like me. But one of you guys that have followed the team home and away and spent 10s of thousands have every right to demand compensation. |  |

Slightly different.
Goes with the territory that it's a team game, that the result of one game is outside the control of any one player, manager or anyone else at the Club.
But the Club will nevertheless have responsibilities to the players under the terms of their contract. If a player suffered injury because of negligence by Club medical staff, the analogy with a crap substitution wouldn't hold.
If the Club negligently broke the rules of the competition to the detriment of the players' careers, I'm not sure why they wouldn't have a claim. Wouldn't be easy to assess their loss, but not beyond the wit of good contract lawyers I'm sure. |  |
