Just watched the highlights and as much as Salisu was pretty decent for most of the game, but certainly messed up for that first goal, and the second who the heck was on the guy that scored!? He’s just on Forster with no one next to him, so when that ball gets headed back in, there’s no one on him!?

Other than KWP, Romeu and maybe S-Armstrong, I don’t think many players had the greatest of performances today.

Could have been very different if Che’s first half strike had gone in, perhaps? We then had a bad patch at the beginning of the second half that undid us in the end. Not creating enough chances, too slow in the build up for the most part. KWP and S Armstrong looked the part, not many others did. Broja a bit of a disappointment today, JWP didn’t create much today. Need to step it up now a level and beat Watford for crying out loud!

Frustrating game had chances to win it, have away silly goals and Newcastle's sh1tehousery won in the end.

Salisu took a while to get going. Broja looked distracted - I guess understandabl, Stu Armstrong seems 50:50 ATM, JWP was off the boil, Che huffed and puffed. I thought Tino and KWP were our best players and And Arm was looking sharp when he came on.

Confidence seems to have dropped. We got forwards lots but the attacks frequently petered out and the ball went back to FF.

If Saturday was the bad day at the office, this wasn't a return to form. Next up Watford.

Desperately disappointing to lose. Dominated but for a ten minute spell early in the second half but too much tpoy tappy football and few clear cut chances. Che Adams shot hit the underside of the bar and Dubravka made some good late saves. Shelvey did well and Romeo and Ward Prowse were nullified in midfield. A solid away performance by Newcastle though the constant collapsing of their players to the ground to break play up was frustrating.

Last night's disappointment was enlivened by the stadium DJ. Having played three cat related songs at half time v West Ham last week he managed four money related half time songs against the Saudia Arabian financed team. Dirty Cash (Money talks); Price Tag; Can't buy me love and Money, Money, Money as they came out for the second half.

Was amusing but I'm not sure he's going to be in a job soon. Can't really do that amusing as it was and it probably helped to wind up the Newcastle players.

Newcastle playing the typical Eddie Howe Game, some nasty tackles, and lots of laying down in agony when Saints got into an extended Attack. In saying that we had plenty of chances just sadly lacking up front, seems only player prepared to have a shot was Stu Armstrong. Che Adam's hold up play nicely at times but was well bullied of the ball last night. Armando Broja... maybe thinking of the Embargo placed on Chelsea, no loan, no move if things continue and very very limited Game time ahead for him.... just a thought

It was a strangely enjoyable watch, missed first 5mins after long delay following car fire on M4. We i sat down Newcastle were on the front foot and we didnt really getting into gear until 15mins, Then the Mo/KWP axis starting ripping their right side apart, the midfield press started and the chances started to come. Broja took a touch, when he just needed to hit it, Che laced the bar and Stu dribbled one in off a handball (should the defender have been sent off?). Then newcastle came back and I was right behind the Shelvey cross. It was a goal from the moment he looked up and chose his spot.

2nd half started the same as first, Fraser, Bruno and Shelvey running the show and they scored a good goal. We were stale and couldn't break them down, but great subs from Ralph. Djenpo looked nervous at first, but tried to get round the back of their bank of 8 he did twice but couldnt get through the cover with the cut back. Adam Armstrong was a point of difference.

They defended, slowed the game and fell over with cramp, but we still got 4 good efforts on target and should have equalised.

I was sitting right at the front and got to see KWP close up in the 2nd half. He is an astonishing left back, always traking back and great in attack, off the scale skilled, his feet are like wands, he caresses the ball and dribbles past people, escapes from impossible situations so easily. Shout out to Sali as well, he is class. JWP looked tired and was playing as a CB for much of the game.

The Toon Army were great.

Got back at 1.15am. Pleased i made the effort.

We spent far too much time faffing around passing back to and across the back line, and spent most of the time passing in front of their back line, apart from the first half where KWP and Mo were very good at getting in amongst their right flank.

You play what's in front of you, or in our case we didn't bother. Could do with a decent corner kick taker. Wasting 12 corners is a crime when we're desperate to get back in the game.
