Sky Sports Accused Of Being Liverpool FC's Tv Channel Ahead Of Southampton Game !
Point of order. Fans of the so called big 6 are NOT just the same as other fans.
Fans of those clubs experience regular success whereas the rest, with the increasingly odd exception, do not. Their level of self importance, expectation and arrogance is off the scale compared to the majority of clubs.
Plus you also forgot that for ‘fans’ of Liverpool it just means more....
Should Southampton Bring Calum Chambers Back To St Mary's
I agree, he’d be a good addition. He looked very good for us and like many who leave Saints doesn’t seem to have done as well as he he should. Another plus is that he never pushed to leave (unlike certain other centre backs I can think of).

Good! Fast becoming one of my favourite players and even as a die-hard England fan it’s pleasing to see Scotland producing some excellent players again.

I wouldn’t say Bertrand is at the “tail end of his career”. Towards the end yes, but he’s playing as well as ever and injury aside, should have a few more years at a high level.
As for Ings, if money is his motivation then we simply can’t compete. So it really comes down to what he can achieve. If he went to say, Arsenal and got an FA Cup winners medal for coming on as a sub, then good for him but he’ll really only be remembered for that in his own family.
However, if he stays with Saints and achieves something, he will be a true club legend in an area he comes from - not just another long forgotten also-ran for a ‘big’ team.
I know which I’d prefer if I was him.

Yes I was there and remember it well. The officer must have though he was a shoe-in for a George Medal as he brought the ‘criminal’ down. It was very funny, and poor old PC Plod had to walk the length of the ground to howls of derision. In reality though, he genuinely thought it was a gunman so we’d actually just witnessed an act of true bravery.
Saints Need To Sign Up Ex Chelsea Duo To New Deals
Agree with all of that. Who could we realistically get if they were to leave and at what cost? Plus they have shown great attitude to both playing and the club which is increasingly rare these days.
Saints Still A Work In Progress !
If you check the reaction of Chelsea, Spurs and West Ham fans after this weekend’s results they are ALL demanding better CBs. Beyond them if you look at any team we beat you’ll see the same demands.
Almost every team would like better Centre Backs and we are no exception, trouble is they seem to be rare as rocking horse droppings,
It's Just 90 Minutes Says Hojbjerg ! But Will It Even Be That For Him ?
I don’t know why anyone is having a pop at Nick on this. He has to write something and given the early fixture against Spurs it’s not unreasonable to speculate about PEH. As Nick says I hope he has a bad game against us, it’s nothing personal, just business. Other than that, I have nothing against him, he was a solid payer and now he’s gone and good luck to him.
Aston Villa And West Brom Linked With Obafemi
For me it’s simple. What would we do with the £10m? The chances of finding a replacement with his potential who would immediately do well seem small. Or would the additional £10m in the kitty give us enough to land and established player? Again doubtful at best and probably unlikely.
The answer then is keep.
Saints Reach Agreement With Tottenham Hotspur
I don’t Seriously believe Spurs are going to lower their offer because the UI doesn’t rate PEH as highly as they appear to (sorry Nick). The simple fact is he wants away and if he feels Spurs are the answer, then fine. As far as I’m concerned they’re both sniffing glue as a) Spurs, European cup contenders? Yeah right; And b) PEH going to make a Significant difference to them? Not on what I’ve seen.
Ex Saints Chairman Dies
Sad news. Clearly something of an unsung hero of Southampton Football Club. That we should all do as much...
Saints Summer Transfer Window Assessed
Did we not also get £4m plus for Charlie Austin? Doubly good, as although he did score some vital goals for us this recouped most of the initial outlay and also removed an allegedly disruptive Influence in the dressing room.
