After selling out the 2,000 tickets for the away game at The Hawthorns in a matter of hours, Saints fans have also turned out in numbers for the home leg of the Play Off semi finals with only a few tickets available in hospitality left.

Southampton FC have announced that all tickets in the general seating areas of St Mary's Stadium have already sold out for the visit of West Bromwich Albion , despite the fact that the first leg is still 3 days away up and it is over a week before the fixture is due to be played.

Hospitality packages though are still available, but I would be surprised if there is a mad rush to snap up tickets in these areas.

The cheapest ticket is for The Saints Bar and that is £210 , that is extortionate given that for normal League matches prices start at only £90, for a fairly limited food & drink package this is day light robbery, but cheap at less than half the price of the top package of £410.

Who is going to pay £410 to watch a Saints game ?

The club is clearly trying to milk it's own supporters for the most important game of the season and quite frankly I find that disgusting, that for the biggest game of the season so far, the club is putting making a big killing from the fan base, ahead of making sure that as many Saints supporters as possible are in the ground to back the team.

What do you want them to do, sell the hospitality tickets for £25 with no food? I'll be at both legs, and I'm thankful to be there, but its after spending a lot of money supporting them. But its my choice, years when I haven't got money, I go less. Or hardly at all. No moaning please!

After all, nobody is forcing them to do it are they ? What will be interesting is what price S F C will be able to charge next week for any unsold places should we suffer a right dicking on Sunday. I don’t somehow think it will remain at £210.

SaintNick added 07:34 - May 10 Sorry but it is disgusting, it is profiteering, no one is expecting them to see the seats cheap, if it was the normal price charged it would be fair enough, supply and demand and all that, but when you up the price from £90 to £210 that is just wrong. I am not going to try and justify it

Like you, I don’t agree with S F C’s morals on this occasion but at the end of the day they are just a business who’s sole purpose is selling football and it’s associated spin offs. From S F C’s point of view if we are heavily defeated on Sunday they won’t have a prayer of selling any spare places for Friday’s fixture at £210 but hey, that’s supply and demand for you.

underweststand added 11:47 - May 10 with all the posts sbout " money stats." being bandied around here , I wonder if there is a likelihood of a new attendance record ?. As memory serves we had in access of 32,500 for the final game of the 2011-12 season before the promotion back to the Prem. It would men selling all the hospitality box space as well.. ..who knows , and if we come away from the game at The Hawthorns with a positive goal advantage it might encourage a few companies , or family groups to show up for the return leg.

Suggest the club need to have some diplomatic discussions if they want those corporate hospitality seats sold. Otherwise, looks like the blatant profiteering may have discharged another bullet to the foot again. Hope this can be resolved, but mainly that Saints can get the result(s) with ALL fans on board*.
