Rosicky returns but Bendtner and Clichy to sit out November.

The injury situation is hardly easing despite Rosicky’s welcome return but the squad has been well placed to deal with the situation so far. The new fluid 4-3-3 system means that a number of players are interchangeable throughout the side with the only exception to this being the centre backs. If we can keep Gallas and Vermaelen fit for the entire season we have the perfect foundation from which to launch an assault on the title but an injury to either could completely derail our chances.

Bendtner hurt his groin during one of his rare bursts of activity during the Spurs game and Clichy has suffered a stress fracture to his back which is the kind of injury where a one month predicted lay off sounds extremely optimistic. Fortunately we have Kieran Gibbs waiting to fill the void and this could be his perfect opportunity to catch the eye of Fabio Capello.
