“I think its better if we have no music after we score too as i find pig bag forces everyone to stop cheering and just clap in time and say hoops”
That’s my feelings too. I don’t like the choreographed celebrations. I like it at away games when we tend to break from celebrating into pigbag naturally after a goal.
Against Reading last week it was like that for one of the goals. I think it was a mistake but the music didn’t play at first and we broke into pigbag naturally, then the music from the pa kicked in. I thought that worked quite well.
Still prefer the cheery 'whistling' music we ran out to from the 1970s/early 80s?? - can't ever find a recording of it these days but I remember the tune well.
Roger Whittaker? Not on my watch,
'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

Yes it's on my list of pet hates. Basically because even at Everton, Liverpool and Newcastle where their run out music is an iconic part of the club's history they are obligated by the league to switch it off for 15 seconds of generic happy clappy Premier League theme music while they all shake hands before diving about trying to cheat penalties off each other.
It's an idea cooked up by Scudamore and his other sexist fckwits because of the EU ruling that said they couldn't copyright the matches themselves, but could copyright everything around it. So a pub with a hookie feed isn't breaking the law by showing the match, but is breaking it by showing the handshakes in front of the badge with the bloody music playing.
If I was Everton or a club like I'd tell them to stick it. We run out to Z Cars and that's it. What they going to do? Dock them points?

Back in the 80s everyone sang "You'll Never Walk Alone" but no-one said Liverpool should drop it.
London Calling blasted out at the start - London calling to the faraway towns, now war is declared and battle come down... - damn right. Hi Ho Silver Lining at there end when we win. Job done.
Pisses me off when we drop things we invented because others copy - there was that year when we all sang Daydream Believer, it was about the only decent thing about the whole bloody season, then next season Geordies used it to take the pee out of Peter Reid and we shuffled off all embarrassed.

There seems to be an assumption in all walks of life that people must be bombarded with music. In pubs, sports grounds, lifts, shops, telephone and so on. I'm more likely to leave an establishment of there is intrusive music.

I bought an ambient/psychedelic rock CD by the US band Quarkspace a few years ago. I didn't think anything of it when I read the track listing, but there is a track on it called "Park Rangers". Now, when I listened to it, my ears pricked up because the track was bookended by people singing QPR chants! Woah, surprise! Unfortunately, the track is pretty dull, but even so, it's nice to think that our wonderful club is inspiring people all over the globe.
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
