He made easy work of his fight last night and looks the real deal.

You may have more people interested in the thread if you put UFC in the title.

Dana White said he's the biggest thing since GSP and Brock. Can't argue with that. He's the business.

I love Cerrone too. You won't see many fighters wake boarding and rock climbing the week of a fight. Nutter.

Is he a gypsy? It was only a matter of time before they starting cage fighting.

Gypos only fight other overweight gypos and wouldn't last 2 minutes in a cage with a superfit athlete.

Well anyway, McGregor could end up being UFC's 2nd biggest draw behind Rowsy.

Anyone watch his fight last night?

Don't rate Siver but he makes it look easy.

Jumping out of the cage to get at Aldo will increase PPV buys for that fight too. Can't wait.

Hope that Aldo knocks him clean out. Jumping out of a cage and going at someone with a small girl next to them. Tw*t

Siver was put in there as cannon fodder and although McGregor won easily, managed to get a few half takedowns. I hope he does win the title, the UFC could do with a few colourful champions, but think Aldo will be way too skilled for him.

Yeah, to be fair the girl (Aldos daughter?) was pointing and laughing at him, so I don't think it was unexpected. That sort of stuff sells a PPV though, glad we get it free at the moment.

I'm sure any bar with a TV will have it on mate. Apparently Dublin gets pretty crazy when he fights.

UFC 188 tomorrow too. Cain's back.

Anyone else watching this tomorrow?

Shame Aldo pulled out but Mendes more than makes up for it just because of the match up.

Crazy how Lawler-Rory has barely any attention because of Mcgregor.

Mcgregor wins and he's the biggest star the UFC has had IMO.

I have Mendes and Rory winning.

I don't see him as being bigger than Ronda.

I'm looking forward to it. I see a stoppage for McGregor within 3 rounds.

Tough for McGregor having to prepare for a totally different type of opponent right at the end of his training camp. I hope he wins, but can see him getting submitted.

Yeah massive co-main event

He isn't at the moment but he may well be if he wins this and then beats Aldo.

People are going to tire of Rousey before too long. Absolutely no fault of hers, but until they can provide her with genuine competition, there is only so much appeal her matches are going to have. No-one wants to stay up all night (here) or spend big bucks on a PPV for a 20 second fight.

The best UFC card of all time. F*cking insane fights. Mcgregor is the biggest star the UFC has had.

I'd advise anyone to watch it but it's probably as good as it gets MMA wise.

That second round was great, he got taken down and looked in trouble. Slipped out of the attempted choke and clearly decided to step up his pressure. Mendes had no answer to the reach advantage.

I've wondered that... People still complain about boxing but it's nowhere near as vicious as UFC. We're reading so much about concussion in rugby, NFL, Ice Hockey but the hits these fighters take can't be doing them any good... Perhaps in the next 10-20 years as fighters retire and begin to experience symptoms, it will start to be questioned.

I believe it was banned in most states when it first started out... I might be wrong...

Poll: Some scummer on the anus board reckons 80% of us want them to go down. so... do

Because consenting adults enjoy both watching and participating?

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

That applies to many things Winston but doesn't make it right.

To me, its rather sickening; sad that men feel the need to earn money in this way

Actually it does.

Don't like it? Don't watch and avoid whinging about it to those that do. It really is that simple.
