Mutual consent tonight ? 16:01 - Jan 5 with 14355 viewsHopwoodblue

Thanks very much for everything but think we both need to go our separate ways ?

This really is hurting our club very badly and I can't see it being turned round under the present management team I'm afraid.

Poll: Would we have a stronger management team with Flicker back ?

Just the 17 conceded then !!

Speaking of conceded, we’ve let 56 in now this season. We only let 57 in last season in the whole season. Shocking!!

Yeah, but we did score two!

I've been a massive Hill fan, but I wonder if he will continue to be a mountain of a man by having the courage to offer his resignation, he cant be enjoying this either, whatever is going on behind the scenes. TVOS - be interesting to know the last time we conceded 13 with no reply in 3 games??

I think it's a first.

The nearest to it is three games with 12 conceded and none scored, in December 1930

20/12/30 Hartlepools (a) 0-4
25/12/30 Southport (a) 0-4
26/12/30 Southport (h) 0-4

In 1931/32, the last 8 results of the season were:

York (a) 2-5
Barrow (h) 0-6
York (h) 3-5
Hull (a) 1-4
Lincoln (h) 3-5
Chester (a) 2-7
Hartlepools (h) 1-3
Rotherham (h) 1-4

If I didn't know about your instant recall of dale stats I would think that must have taken you hours to compile... a great effort nonetheless.

This is not the time for bickering.

Someone is wrong.

9/10/87 Tranmere (a) 1-6
17/10/87 Darlington (h) 1-3
20/10/87 Leyton Orient (a) 0-8

Maybe they were thinking of the consecutive 0-5 and 0-4 defeats at Leyton Orient and Swindon in October 1985.

I was going to post this earlier (I'd checked it out in the Rochdale history book) - in the season notes it mentions that those 3 defeats came around the time of a lot of boardroom changes and the Tommy Cannon saga.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

No, it took about five minutes.

many thanks TVOS, fantastic encyclopedic knowledge as always, I'm slightly sad it confirms this as an historic run...

No problem, Alex. Just takes a bit of patience to trawl through the records.
