The team spirit looked bang on today, almost as if the personnel that came into the team really made a difference compared to Hojbjerg, Valery and Obafemi who all looked a bit negative the last couple of games in their attitudes.

There are certain players that never seem to let us down with their attitude and work rate, and most of them were playing today.

Keep with this line up as close as possible for the rest of the season (maybe with Vetstergaard, Smallbone and Long changing with Stephens, Armstrong and Adams when it suits) and no reason why we can’t get 8th

Spot on I think Valery and Obafemi have issues at the moment, the players who replaced them wanted to play

I don't think we will finish as high as 8th.

With only 6 games left, we would not only have to win those games that we should on paper or at least expect to (Brighton, Bournemouth and Sheff Utd), but also get something out of Man City, Everton (our bogey team at Goodison) and Man Utd.

The attitude seemed different today, much improved from Arsenal, but then we all expected a performance against Arsenal after the win at Norwich.

As City and United are still in other competitions, potentially they could rest a few stars for our games ? Here's hoping at least.

Will be an interesting last game v Sheff Utd, but think we will end up 10th.

It would be a heroic effort to get 8th, and Saints always let you down as the saying goes.

Sheff U are on a proper slump and if we beat them they have a lot of tough games and could only get 4 or 5 points

Arsenal could be the really tricky one to overturn (and maybe Everton) ,can see them getting at least 9 from their remaining

Palace have a tough run in and could be realistically overtaken

Everton have a few winnable games and would likely need us to beat them at Goodison, but I’d fancy us to have a chance of beating any side bar Liverpool and ManCity away this season

Then there’s Newcastle who are seriously unpredictable but do have 3 or 4 winnable looking games

At least the potential 8th place and European qualification gives us something to focus on

A very professional performance today and what seemed a solid team spirit and effort. You have to wonder where we would be without Ings. He is a uniquely complete player. Of course recognition will be for his scoring prowess but he offers so much more. But, I was impressed with KWP and even our much maligned defence seemed on their game today. I thought Che Adams did really well when he came on and he really will be a great player for us, so implore the club not to sell him.

Ok, I am one of the worlds worst pessimist when it comes to my team, but even I have to concede that all but a most unexpected turn of results we are all but mathematically safe and need to start looking towards next season. Would be good to get some momentum for next season and also bed in some of the players that got on today and some of those that did not so they are ready for next season..

Still cannot fathom out our home issue but very satisfied with today's outing.

8/1 Betfred Top 10 finish, worth a tenner.

Realistlcally need to finish above 3 of Palace, Burnley, Sheff Utd and Everton to collect, 3 quite winnable games from 6 left, chances.

If only we hadn't let both Burnley and Newcastle do the double over us this season. There were 12 points up for grabs and oh what a difference it would have made to even get just a few points from those 4 games - not just in terms of the points tally, but also because they would have been taken against teams around us in the league table and enhanced our position.

On the flip side, at least we have done the double over Villa, Norwich and now Watford this season - and can still do it to Brighton and Sheff Utd.

Just drawing against Burnley and Newcastle would see the table completely different, we would be level with Palace on 42 points them in 10th and us 11th, we would be 5 points ahead of Newcastle and 2 ahead of Burnley and with a great chance of a top 10 finish.
