Chelsea Game Matchday Thread on 17:02 - Oct 17 by Saintsforeverj | Hope nobody was getting their updates on Sky. Tim Sherwood, with no emotion whatsoever, quietly said "And it's gone in the corner" when Saints equalised. To think he was one of Le Tissier's replacements wasn't he? Hopeless commentating. Didn't even know we had scored. [Post edited 17 Oct 2020 17:03]

Does anyone watch Soccer Saturday now or whatever it's called?

Chelsea Game Matchday Thread on 17:09 - Oct 17 by dirk_doone | It's always good to come back from 0-2 down away from home. Not many teams do that. We've become very good at fightbacks and scoring late goals and we looked the more likely team to score a winner at the end. Walcott got better as the game went on. He, Ings and Adams are going to be a really potent attack this season. And, of course, Walker-Peters looks better with every game. He really is a star in the making. [Post edited 17 Oct 2020 17:09]

also impressed with our passing and possession in tight spaces under pressure, much less stressful than usual

Chelsea Game Matchday Thread on 17:27 - Oct 17 by JaySaint | who was the co-commentator? absolute love-in for Chelsea. I kid you not, 90 seconds in, he started going on about how fluid Chelsea's front 4 are (were). It was a rather strange thing to say as I do not believe any of them had touched the ball at that point it is such a turn-off and no wonder so many wont bother paying the ridiculous prices. on another note, if Lampard was not a media darling, he would be getting pelters by the pundits, given the state of the team [Post edited 17 Oct 2020 17:28]

I liked one of the comments on the BBC site saying that if Lampard was Ole G-S he'd have been crucified by the press

In years gone by if Saints went 2-0 down against a big club you’d say it was all over. Now you always feel we’ve got a chance. Shame we go 2 down in the first place obviously but in this strange season with hardly any clean sheets for any team it’s no surprise.

Werner and Havertz, the two Germans cost 109.5 Million that's the sort of outlay these big clubs can afford, that's what you're up against in the Premiership.

Tend to just have Soccer Saturday on, in the background on mute, with radio solent on so that we can see the other scores, whilst listening to Saints. I unmute when Saints reports occur or anything of interest. But the reports today from Sherwood were very poor.
