He has now scored more than Le Tiss. Time to accept that he is a free kick specialist I Would?

He will have to use one of his other logins for a while.

Prowsey had a very good all round useful first half and two, perfectly placed, pacy free kicks. Long may it continue. Walcott makes a huge attacking difference to the team. One of the best first halves from Saints for absolutely years.

Not knocking the superb free kick ability of JWP, but you forgot to mention that your stats are for the Prem only.

He is currently the finest free-kick taker in the country and must now be near the top of the
list of all-time Premier League goal scorers from free-kicks. I used to have my doubts about him in his early days when commentators referred to him as a dead-ball specialist but there is no doubt now that he is the best there is. His all-round game is excellent too.

It’s been great to see how he has developed over the years. Even when some fans were slagging him off, successive managers saw something in him. He is now showing why they had faith in him and is a worthy captain.

Thank god, we got rid of that utter moron Hughes before he could sell JWP to Burnley!

The guy is top class - on and off the field and his partnership with Romeu in the center is fantastic. Villa did not have a sniff today until Saints took their foot off the gas at 4-0

If Ralph can instil some confidence and accuracy into JWP`s ability to have a pop with a moving ball in open play we would have a very very special player on our hands. Well done Prowsy and happy birthday!

If Southgate isn't as bad a manager as Hughes, Ward-Prowse can be the next Beckham for England: the king of set-pieces and an absolute legend. In fact, I expect him to exceed Beckham's all-time Premier League record of goals from free-kicks, overtaking Lampard, Zola, Ronaldo and Henry along the way.

4 more and he'll be 2nd= with Henry and Zola in the all-time list

In the poll, Ward-Prowse was already voted a clear 2nd in the greatest Premier League free-kick takers of all-time list. After all, he is only just reaching his peak and has many more years of top flight football ahead of him.

Just 3 more needed now. At the rate he's going, he could even do that this season. He is the finest dead ball specialist since Beckham.

It went in but it was deflected in off of a defender's head. It was going wide slightly. You should see it on MOD if you missed it.

Grealish to gain the free kicks, JWP to take them? I'm not sure I'd put my money on those two to be the England midfield though.

I think you may just be basing your figures solely on the Prem ?

Don't forget cup games and the fact that league football existed before the Prem !! :-)

You could well be right Tim. I just googled how many goals did MLT score from free kicks.
