Derby fans can’t believe they are getting £700k for him. Zero work rate and bad attitude.

I’m very surprised we have chucked this sort of money out on a player with 1 goal in 25 apps.

In Cooper we trust with signings though he’s done well so far in fairness.

I was reading that he has a good attitude and a good lad, but too lightweight and doesn’t chase back. But his character hasn’t been in question from what I can tell. Most fans seem to think they have got a great deal though at 700k.

He’s very young and Cooper can clearly bring the best out of young English players. One to watch.

Looks to have plenty of ability and a quick turn of foot, he has some incredible first touch turns.

From 2 mins 20 secs you can see the type of flair he has in his locker. I am guessing he needs to learn to hone it and use it correctly.

Yeah my worries about attitude have been eased after reading the thread on their forum. Looks to have serious technical ability with a turn of pace. Needs bulking up.

I know from people who know him that Lewis Webb the young keeper has bulked on serious amounts of kg so the same can be done with Whittaker hopefully.

That’s a good sign then.

If anyone needs bulking then it’s this kid, he looks exceptionally lightweight.

Seems like a proper Cooper signing, a step-up in pedigree to Watters

He could get some tips from Jordan Morris, proper powerhouse built like a Rugby inside centre

True and I will, not that it makes any difference but do you not think it rather odd.

We need more physical types to play a we like, which is why Fulton should be first name on teamsheet.
Yesterday ,the magnificent Roberts literally bounced off one of their players.

I know it's cr@p init we are second in the league and 4 points from the top we sign a player that has represented England from 16yr -20yr old that Cooper knows and could work with...No ambition eh?

700k does seem a lot for a player who has 1 league goal to his name.

But the signings have been very good to date it’s a wierd one though for that kind of money I would have thought we would have signed a player who could make an impact this season.

We are not really in a position to pay this kind of money for a player for the future.

But wasn't that Cooper's remit whn he joined us, progress over the 3 years?

And you seem somewhat surprised that people pick you up on a regular basis.

You have no idea who he is, but because someone mentioned bulking up, you decided he's lightweight

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

Hmm struggling to see the logic in this one. 700k is a lot of money for us to spend. Must be more experienced, more natural goalscorers in the lower leagues available for that price. But we'll see.

I guess the logic will be Cooper thinks he has te potential be Premier league quality and if he can nurture him properly (like he has with Guehi) we will be quids in one day.

It's always a gamble but if we sign this player and sell him in 3 years for 25 million, no one would be complaining about the 700k, though probably complaining about losing him or selling him cheap.

I know that scenario is a long shot but Coopers judgement has been pretty good so far. A club like us has to speculate on youngsters.

PS, Resloven, don't you mean here, not there?

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Two of our current three frontline strikers are either on loan or out of contract come the summer. That leaves us with Lowe and Cullen. If less than quarter of a million down secures us someone who Cooper and Scott believe has the potential to develop into a good player for us then that's a no brainer.

Cooper has already worked with him. Brentford's conveyer belt of attacking talent would suggest that Andy Scott also knows his business on the subject.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Fans of a certain persuasion and loyalties to a particular minor shareholder of the club, have bought into a fake 'short term' narrative.

That is the club has "no investment, no long term plans, and owners will jump ship once the parachutes have finished". For that reason the minor shareholder wants to organise a forced sale of its shares and get out before the club is trashed. Day by day this narrative is proving utterly bogus.

Whittaker is excatly the type of player swansea should be buying for the long term. Go back to 2009 -2010 and Roberto brings in England u20 winger Nathan Dyer. (super quick too lightweight). The "Jenkinista" masterminds of this strategy are still on the board. Whether they actually speak to Winter, Silverstein, Levien is unknown. We could be experiencing a transatlantic "brains trust" . It really is looking vey promising. Remember each season 15% of the championship end up in the Premier league.

"We are not really in a position to pay this kind of money for a player for the future" - You forgot about the CLN of upto £10m from the US owners plus the sales of Rodon Celina and Peterson. The Owners are here for the long to medium term. 5 years and counting. The "quick flip" never happened, Thats not the way they operate.

Garrick looked lightwieght to me in his fleeting first team appearances where he shreaded Cambridge Northampton and QPR. As a squad member with limited games this season he seems to have bulked up considerably and certainy was not ightweieght man handling Stevenage tough nuts. Clearly the non negiotiables have been learned as he has been converted into a wing back. I hope he will extend his deal. I xpect Whittaker to do the same. Develop the body and philosophy demanded by Cooper.

You can avoid the hard truths using the ignore button. Day by day the truth is becoming apparent. I am one of the few willing to openly criticize the Trust strategy by using logic. Because it is political, linked in a small way to democratic socialism in some repsects, there is little chance of converting people. All I can do is make arguments and watch wimps, do what wimps do best, and run away.

Yes I am happy enough with the signing especially after reading that the actual figure is 240 thousand plus 200 if we get promoted.

I trust Cooper and Scott to find the right players just an observation that's all.

You are the only swans "fan" i know that was in favour of the sale to the yanks, it's hardly surprising you're clinging on to his coattails now.
