Or will there be an effect as there was after WW2 when fans flocked back to the grounds

The first lockdown was new and people rallied and cracked on with it, the weather certainly helped. The second lockdown wasn’t a lockdown as such, I didn’t even notice it to be honest. This third lockdown, on the back of a tough Christmas which was quite emotional as a lot of people didn’t see family and friends, has been really hard. January is always hard, cold miserable etc, but with little to look forward to and the future looking uncertain it’s been hard. Just hope everyone is okay. Hopefully next season will see most people vaccined and we start to come out and learn to live with COVID.

But I guess it depends on how final the release from lockdown will be. Unless we have some sort of 'VE Day' moment, maybe things will just maunder along as we come out of lockdown very slowly. It's going to depend on how dramatic an impact on infections and deaths the vaccinated program has. Fingers crossed it will be seismic.

I think there will be an economic bounce back, it is in sight but just not quite there yet, this is why it is so tough

But after the initial buzz, I suspect crowds will be lower. Just hope that pricing will reflect demand and these absurd prices are ended. That goes for all entertainment and the price gouging at gigs etc.

I don’t think there will be any VE Day type event this year, although it would be great. Think it should be low key and reflective. Next year, there is an extra bank holiday for the Queens 70th Jubilee, hopefully everything will be okay then to have a big national event.

I wouldn't mind betting also that despite being allowed back in to games and hopefully concerts etc, that people will stay away as will still be worried with the thought that Covid will still be around and be very cautious about what they do and where they go. I think you will also see a lot of people still wearing masks despite reassurances etc from the "experts"

The issue is next winter. Some will be waiting anxiously as winter approaches. Infections will rise again, but will the vaccine roll out prevent the need for another lockdown? Will we still have to wear masks etc? Everyone is still in limbo, and the realisation that our lives will not return to the normal we were used to, has depressed people probably.
