| Crystal Palace Game Matchday Thread on 15:53 - May 12 by SaintNick | Redmond stats are pretty good on assists if you compare it with the rest of the league, Che Adams who is often derided is 21st in the number of assists with 5 Danny Ings has 4, |
Who are you comparing Redmond to? For a wide player his stats are poor. Adams cant hit a barn door, however he does have an eye for a pass. He could of easily had 15 goals this season.

Adams can hit a barn door most of his shots are on target, but he does have a penchant for hitting the keeper rather than the back of the net

According to his stats he hits the barn door every other time, but rarely get it past the farmer. Not great for a premiership forward. It explains why he now represents Scotland. https://www.infogol.net/en/player/che-adams/8092

He was right. Heard this co commentator on Sky a few times without knowing who he was, and found out last night it was Efan Ekoko. He's excellent, talks sense and one of the few that praises us.

Only 27 players have scored more Premier League goals than Adams this season, Danny Ings aside only about 5 of them are not playing for top 8 clubs, Adams has a better record than most people perceive, only 20 players have more assists again most are with the top clubs. Adams might have a lot of bad luck with goals but his end product is better than most and he is getting better

What I like about him is that when he shoots in the six yard box he always whacks it. There's a place for a delicate chip or a sidefoot inside the post, but having a foot like a traction engine is an asset which surprisingly many strikers lack.

Are you being ironic? I would say the reason he doesn't score as much is too often he belts it when it needs a more finessed touch

Not at all. Inside the six yard box, there's rarely any time. Just belt it. Give the keeper as little chance as possible. Adams went a long time without scoring but he is now getting on the score sheet and I think he will only get better.

I don’t care how they hit it as long as it goes in. Ings tends to go for precision rather than belting it though.
