I see that many of our northern “friends” are well put out that England have progressed so far. I’ve noticed in some of the so-called banter (and let’s be real here, what a bunch of chippy fvcks many seem to be) that they claim Scotland invented modern football and are thus enraged by the Football’s Coming Home ditty.
I can find no evidence of this, so why are the straw-clutching cross dressing few getting their sporran man-bags in such a twist?
I find it laughable, we're in their heads 24/7, I don't want them to leave but I'd wish there was an independence vote again, we're all weaker apart but its their democratic right.
Is this a reply to my post? Incidentally, I’m not sure the Act of Union give the Scots a right to vote on independence, but accept there is a debate to be had about they have the right to hold repeated binding votes on the matter. Currently, that right is very clearly vested in the UK parliament.
You mean when the Scottish House of Stuart assumed the English throne? That was really treating them badly, that’s was.

Several hundred years ago FFS. It's sad. Maybe I should absolute despise the Italians for the treatment the Romans gave my ancestors and enslaved them.

We had no choice GC , the French , Scotts , Spanish , Germans etc..... all tried to invade us.
We just stood up for ourselves and the consequence was empire.

Scotland came out of the primeval floods like every other country on the planet. Wherever you go on this planet you will find people having issues with their neighbours. It is called tribalism and is something we still haven’t managed to evolve out of our systems (hence Brexit and the Scotland rivalry etc.)

Many many thousand Scots living, working and integrating in England with no issues at all. So where's the problem/tribalism? Most of the hatred comes from tw ats like the SNP.

I am struggling to find a country that didnt try to plunder our shores , the Danes must of being Vikings , Dutch for sure ..... how far back do we have to go to bare a grudge or in reverse for us to apologise ?

I love Scotland. The scenery is breathtaking. Particularly after a few whiskeys. Never had any hassle and found the people really welcoming.
I’ve not been to Hampden for the football with England, but I have been to Murrayfield and it’s the. ONLY rugby ground where I’ve been advised to cover up my colours on arriving and leaving. Even in the pub afterwards we had to keep shtum which is why Dublin is miles better sporting occasion with massively friendlier people (and girls!).
Oh, and the Irish don’t boo the English National Anthem whereas the Scots most certainly did.

My experience was totally the opposite. Constantly told that ‘ I don’t recognise your government’ . I shall not be going back anytime soon and prefer the scenery of the new forest to to that cold wet wasteland.
I would vote for a free independent Scotland ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿.
