It's socialism. We are all equal, but I am slightly more equal than you, as quoted by one of George Orwell's famous characters.

The hypocrisy of government and elites has never been more obvious than over the last 18 months, making the proles jump through hoops and treating us all with contempt, while they do whatever they want. Orwell was all over this years ago - he would be spinning in his grave.

I wholly disapprove of what you say and will defend to the death your right to say it.

One minute you're a libertarian, the next you're a marxist. I confess I'm struggling to keep up.

You have always been a bit slow on the uptake Ian.

You've called me an anarchist and a fanatic, libertarian and now Marxist - you do love your labels don't you?

The Elites are playing us - I have told you over and over, surely even you can keep up with that?

I wholly disapprove of what you say and will defend to the death your right to say it.

'The Elites'. And you accuse me of liking labels. I'm keen to pin down what it is you actually believe. Whereas you seem at your happiest when talking in broad, meaningless, terms.

'The Elites'. Yes, we should definitely watch out for them...

Blimey Ian, I've spent hours talking to you about this and you are still asking me the most basic of questions!

The Elites is a general term for the super rich who have a measure of control over the rest of us. The story at the start of this thread shows that there is one rule for them and another for the rest of us, ie we pay our taxes, they don't.

The last 18 months has seen the biggest transfer of wealth away from "ordinary" people and back in to the hands of the Elites ie small and medium businesses going bust and struggling, where as Amazon and Jeff Bezos make even more money. It's a simple plan hidden behind an hysterical reaction to a respiratory virus with the help of mass propaganda.

I wholly disapprove of what you say and will defend to the death your right to say it.

It’s a ‚general term‘ alright. A meaningless general term used by conspiracy theory nutters the world over to supposedly ‚explain‘ everything, including a global pandemic, which scientists and medical professionals are already dong a much better job of explaining than you, David Icke and Piers Corbyn could even dream of.

Are these the same "scientists and medical professionals" employed by the government or funded directly or indirectly by Elites, who will have their funding removed if they veer away from the narrative?

How long can you go on pretending that corruption and coercion do not exist? Your naivete is breath taking.

Of course corruption and coercion exist.

You think that because corruption and coercion exist, there must be some grand nefarious conspiracy behind it? And you call me naive.

Corruption and coercion are real. All the rest is in your mad head.

Proud of you Ian, you have come so far. When we first met you were still firmly in Lala Land saying "the government is my friend". Look at you now, accepting corruption and coercion, you just need to understand corruption is top, down. I am going to push you a little harder as I feel you may be ready for your next step with a couple of simple conspiracies;

1. Weapons of mass destruction -
Conspiracy - Bush, Blair etc made this up, so they could affect a regime change and get their hands on cheap oil.
Trusting - Bush, Blair etc thought we were in a lot of danger from these weapons and we had no choice but to protect ourselves by killing thousands and thousands of innocent people.

2. JFK assassination
Conspiracy - CIA killed Kennedy as he knew too much, wanted to have open government, was seen as weak on communism and they didn't want to withdraw from Vietnam.
Trusting - A lone gunman took a pot shot and then conveniently got shot himself a few days later.

3. The Georgia Guidestones
Conspiracy - They are a clear indication that some Elites would like to depopulate the world; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia_Guidestones
Trusting - Nothing to see here.

Let me know how you get on.

Lighten up. Its just my "special relationship" with Ian. I'm only joking with him. He is entitled to any view he likes. Robust banter Mate, am I not woke enough for you?

He's patronising because (a) he believes it all and (b) he thinks he's 'enlightened' and we're not.

You should take him seriously. Jelly seems harmless enough but the conspiracy theory movement generally is a blight on everything at the moment.

And there was me thinking it was the Mafia behind the assassination of JFK. I am really not very good at this conspiracy theory malarkey.
