I noticed he hadn't been playing, but he then started their televised cup match against Dagenham so I assumed it was just a case of him not catching but then being given some minutes in rotation for the cup. He hadn't played for weeks before that game and hasn't played since. |
Yes, he was injured, played v Dagenham and then felt his back again, or whatever it was.

Because, frankly, who cares? What he may or may not have said in heat of the moment 20 years ago is completely irrelevant when you consider that not only did he play for the club again, but he led us out at Wembley, led us to promotion, and became our record appearance holder and one of the biggest legends in the history of the club. Why on earth anyone would still hold a grudge after all of that just because of a throwaway comment several years prior I have no idea. |  |
