At the risk of getting shouted down for daring to highlight a manager of another team, I have to say thus far I have been impressed with him - the way he goes about the job - no histrionics or noise, just quietly getting on with the job and the way he has set up the team to be effective and efficient. I can quite see them beating Chelsea in the semi.

Conor Gallagher is a hell of a player as well. He seems to have endless energy and determination.

But ultimately he has done little better than us so far and is reliant on Gallagher a player who is on loan from Chelsea and Zaha a sulking t*** who plays when he feels like it and feels he should be at a big club and wants to leave.

Reliant on a Chelsea loan. Sounds familiar.

The main difference is that Palace are now good to watch whereas for years they had a succession of managers who believed the only way they could stay in the PL was to be hard to beat.

They have brought in some fantastic young players. Viera has done a very good job in a short period of time. He will get snapped up long before Ralph

Done little better than Ralph, despite being his first season as a manage in this league, with a team with a lot of rotation of players in/out.

He has done really well so far.

I agree. I watched 3 of their youngters in the 2 recent England games at Wembley and was very impressed by Mitchell, Guéhi and, of course, yet another of those brilliant Chelsea loanees, Gallagher. What a great conveyor belt of talent Chelsea have produced for other clubs over the years, like Salah, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Bertrand, Livramento, Broja and Gallagher.

Vieira has done a good job and has all the attributes of a decent manager. But Palace are just one point ahead of us and have spent more money. Gueue cost 21 million, Anderson cost 16 million, Edouard cost 14 million, Gallagher loan and they didn't sell anyone of note. Like us, they will finish between 14th and 8th. It will be exactly the same next year for us and Palace, if not worse. Palace won't break into the top 6 next year. Not a chance. So more of the same for us and them. We drew 2 all with them away and it will probably be a draw at St Mary's in a few weeks time.

Credit where credits due. They have a lot of excellent players, not just Gallagher. They look a very good team.
