Technically eye-watering QPR goals 15:07 - Aug 21 with 6333 viewsngbqpr

So with Chair so nearly scoring an iconic Rs goal at the weekend, it feels like a good time to feast on superlative Rangers goals of days gone by.

Random rules I'm making up for the hell of it:

- Please don't post Trevor's bicycle kick, Wegerle at Leeds, Gerry's season opener v Liverpool, or Gaz at Rushden - let's dig deeper.
- Can we focus on supreme technique or great team moves rather than goals that set pulses racing for their importance (eg Furlong & Zamora play off goals, Robbo from the half way line).

Here's s few for starters...

Eze at Stoke

Langley at Cheltenham

Akos vs Barsnley

Pollock's goal reminds me of another QPR goal. This time scored by an absolute c*nt.

Wilkins was the best player I ever saw in a Rangers shirt, an absolute master. Had the knack to find something that can never be coached; time.
Today he would be in Man City, 10 years ago Barcelona, 20 Man Utd. 30 years ago he was a Ranger. And a thoroughly nice bloke to go with it.

Easy, Mark Falco versus Chelscum 1989 I think. We beat them 4-2 and I seem to recall a Les hetting his first goal for us. Falcos goal though is superb, left footed volley outside the box, top corner in front of the Loft.

If anyone can find it please put it on.

I posted it earlier in the thread

People forget just how immense he was

Turnip Taylor really should’ve recalled him to the England squad when he was head n shoulders the best central midfielder in the top flight during his Ray Naysonce
Instead he picked Gordon Cowans
FFS

This one for England before his time with us but I absolutely love it.
Told him so and he just grinned at me and said “it weren’t bad was it?”
See how he actually passes it to himself and finishes so calmly.
What a man

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Charlie Austin's goal away at Southampton in the Premier League season when he had his back to goal, flicked the cross up with one foot and volleyed it in. Is there any footage of that?

Austin in this compilation but also Phillips v Palace and Zamora v West Brom

One of the best goals I remember seeing from the Loft was from Stan alone with the ball on the right side of the penalty area faced by 2 defenders and I think Peter Shilton in goal - looked very difficult to score. But...Stan shimmied towards the bi-line and 1 defender went that way and fell in that direction, Stan then shimmied inside and the other defender fell that way. Stan cut back real quick, jumped between and over the outstretched legs with the ball which he then put in the far corner of the goal sending Shilton the wrong way too. It was amazing and comical all at once. I think it was in our 2-0 win against Stoke 25 September 1976, but I'm not sure and have never found a video of it or remember seeing it on TV. Anyone?

Typically that and Cardiff home were the only games I missed that season, but could watch this goal all day long

This one. I am amazed this doesn’t get talked about more. The skill and finish by Routledge was incredible. But that assist is the greatest assist I have ever seen.

This is mine, even though I've tried to memory hole it due to what happened after, but from the pass he bombs forward and doesn't even break his stride to hit it flush. It's so devastating it counted for nothing

Amazing nonchalance but we’d be talking about it for weeks if we defended like that.

This and Scowen's worldie are among the best ever in a QPR shirt.

The grass is always greener.

The limbs in the loft as Ray's cheeky lob floats over Chris Woods head and into the net...

Beautiful.
