There was never any hope that the funds from player sales would be reinvested in team this season.
First priority for SR would have been covering last season's losses.
Next would be balancing their books across their assets, not just us.
Next would have been a three or five year plan to achieve some sort of financial balance.

What was the point of buying a tall striker and not giving him the ball in the box and expect him to run around like a headless chicken chasing it.
To not give him a game in the Championship was ludicrous.
I don't know if he could have succeeded here because he wasn't given the time to prove so.

Exactly, as so many are slagging him off, yet he’s not even had a chance to show if he was that bad. He played about 15 mins for Saints, over 2 substitute appearances - 1 in the league and 1 in the cup.
I think Tall Paul had 11 appearances for us, although I don't know how many of those were starts, or how many minutes he amassed !! :-) |  |
