The stubborn one 18:08 - Aug 29 with 1585 views | saint22 | Need to see changes this weekend Dibling and Fernandez should start and there is a n argument Archer up with either AA or Diaz We need to see some energy and impetus Smallbone and Stephens need dripping And of course Ramsdale should start There is no reason for RM to play the same side that’s lost twice [Post edited 29 Aug 18:08]

The stubborn one on 19:03 - Aug 29 with 1506 views | Bridders2 | I don't think Dibling should start just yet, I can see some cynical PL players taking him out, and he could end up injured, especially as he doesn't wear shin pads. I'd bring him on at about 60 mins when the opposition have tired, to make his surging runs. He needs careful handling to build up his stamina.

Good shout! I'm surprised the club don't make him wer shin pads
The stubborn one on 09:20 - Aug 30 with 1204 views | Ifonly | Dibling does wear shinpads. It's a regulation, he has to. I saw a photo of him where you could see the line under his sock. They're little shinpads like the ones Grealish wears. Can't see him being a starter yet, but hopefully he will become one soon. He certainly has talent.
The stubborn one on 09:24 - Aug 30 with 1186 views | Chesham_Saint | The key here is not so much whether Dibling starts (and I absolutely think he should) but whether our self-regarding manager will react to the clear evidence of the opening games. I have my doubts…

It's fashionable to wear kids shin pads these days - the ones that are barely bigger than a fag packet. FA rules stipulate that all players must wear shin pads, so some players prefer to go for the smallest ones available. When I played Sunday League, I used to wear ones that were like a sock, incorporating decent shin and ankle protection, because of what you could get away with back then. In my Veterans League now, I still wear good quality large shin pads, but generally that is now because players are slower than they think they are and often 'mistime' tackles !! :-)
