Slackerjack will be back soon and things could only get worse.

Newly promoted teams usually perform better in their first 10 games than they do later in the season so you'd expect things to get worse anyway, and, according to the Premier League stats for all promoted teams over the last 20 years, if we don't get at least 8 points from those opening 10 games, relegation is inevitable. We really need to win tonight and if we do, on a more positive note, it's worth noting that 70% of promoted teams that got 11 points or more from their first 10 games stayed up. But, if we lose, it's probably best to forget about it. Martin does seem to be getting closer to selecting what most people would deem to be our best starting XI. It would be great to see Amo-Ameyaw starting tonight, but it's not going to happen, is it? Hopefully, he'll at least come on as a sub to set up a goal or 2 for Dibling. [Post edited 30 Sep 11:04]

This is a good side. Balanced and should be talent enough in Dibling, Lallana and Ferndez to create chances for Archer. This doesn't look like a relegation side to me.

Agreed, solid defensively with Taylor on the left and Les and Flynn mopping up. Three in front that have shown they can create chances. Just down to Archer to show he's the man.

Not sure why Bmuff would treat him differently to any other side he's started/played against. It's no secret that he has great ability.

Exactly - we need to play a two man pivot consisting of Big Les and Downes which will make us harder to break down. This should begin to stem the goals conceded and create a secure base to start improving our attacking play ie speeding it up for starters instead of the walking football designed for OAPs with passes going mainly sideways and backwards. In the name of God please can RM set us up properly and encourage some fast entertaining football!
