FA Trophy semi on 19:41 - Mar 17 by Sandyman | The Bottomley ticketing system at its finest. Do we have to call an EGM to get rid of it? |
I’m sure the director who is apparently responsible for the ticketing site will be right on it. Not until they’ve sorted their hospitality for tomorrow’s game though.

That’s wonderful if you’ve got the option but not all of us have.

Majority of them have been fairly easy tbf. The only one that caused me as many issues as our own was Leamington's.

I wonder if those that were easiest to use have the same ticketing system. [Post edited 18 Mar 10:56]

Spoke to quite a few people yesterday including the owner of the Willbutts Lane Chippy and they were adamant that the Spennymoor game kicks off at 1230pm on Saturday, there is still confusion for some. This game is growing in magnitude the more you think about the consequences of reaching the final. It's massive in terms of us possibly winning the first trophy in our history at Wembley but it's also massive from a commercial point of view. A Wembley final for the club will open up so many potential commercial opportunities and i'm sure the Ogden family will use the day to network with their business associates which could ultimately benefit our club in so many ways. It's one of the biggest games in our history because of that i think. Match Spennymoor in terms of intensity and desire from the first whistle and we should have enough, treat it as a cup game and practice penalties. It won't be about posession stats and a tactical masterclass so let's not go down that route. Spennymoor lost 4-0 yesterday and have been playing Saturday/ Tuesday like us but with a part time squad of players. Tiredness, the pitch, budgets won't be relevant next Saturday, just go out and attack them. [Post edited 30 Mar 9:08]

I was in a car for 4 hours with a Spennymoor Town fan this week. They are really looking forward to a 'good day out' as he put it but realistically he was expecting us to thrash them. But the cup games are great levellers as we all know. They have had a great run of form in recent months and so yesterdays result will have been a surprise. As you say, part time and playing twice a week is a challenge. But complacency can't be our downfall.

It will be a tough, typical cup tie against lower league opposition but one that can beat us if we let them settle into the game. The key is to play at a high tempo and put them under pressure, shoot at every opportunity and keep them in their own half of the pitch. Play like yesterday and we'll beat them. A slow cautious approach will play right into their hands but there's no guarantee that's not what we will see unfortunately. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bird miraculously turn up in the starting eleven, just like Gordon did yesterday.
FA Trophy semi on 14:37 - Mar 30 with 1951 views | mikehunt | Spennymoor have been banging them in recently so yesterday's loss is a bit of an outlier. As an aside, it just dawned on me that by Saturdaty evening we will have played all the Trophy semi-finalists in this one week. How strange is that?

Spooky. And if Sutton had beaten Spennymoor in the last round, we would have played all the semi-finalists in a little over a week.

According to the BBC sports web page, we're a 15.00 kick off. The Aldershot v Woking match is showing as a 12.30 kick off. Everything from the club indicates a 15.00 kick off.
FA Trophy semi on 17:46 - Mar 30 with 1579 views | Yorkshire_Dale | Sky Sports are still showing a 3pm ko......but a 12.30 pm ko for Aldershot v Woking. It looks like we will know who Dale/ Spenny are up against in the Final before a ball is kicked in anger.....big incentive for us, as we will be fully aware of both teams. It looks like it may be written in the stars?

Yes, i knew it was a 3pm kick off. Was it originally listed for 1230pm?

It was down as 12.30pm in some places originally, but the club tweeted they were going to contact these organisations to correct their error, which seems to have happened.

Think it was according to the link in the first post to the FA website, which contained a disclaimer re kick off times. If you follow that link now it shows Aldershot as 12.30 kick off and Dale as 15.00 kick off.
