As long as they can pay their way, I can’t see a problem.

Totally independent identities. They could still back the Ospreys financially without it impacting the football side. Get into the English Premiership after a couple of seasons and the stadium sponsorship would go through the roof with dual sports. The English Rugby clubs take a lot of supporters away which would help to fill it, better atmosphere bigger crowds.

its a good idea as long as it is followed up with the redevelopment of St Helens which needs the council and university on board as this city should go ahead with their plans in spite of what that pathetic capital try on. Swansea is some kind of hindrance. Cricket then rugby as Rich says. They would go for football as well. It is bizarre that Radio Wales is giving positive comments about Wrexham's spawny arrival in the play off's. That never happens when Swansea do well.

You are not allowed into the top tier if English Rugby unless your ground holds more than 10,000, St Helens won't.

And unless really significant investment is provided in the infrastructure then that’s not going to happen.

Back to the stadium is the only viable option to try and gain the future investment required to progress.

If the Swans allowed it, and they probably wouldn't. Hosting the Ospreys costs the ground money. Attendances just weren't big enough to cover the expense of opening up even a couple of stands.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Yes but wasn’t the cost of the matchday the responsibility of the Ospreys?

Jase
It hurts but Wrexham council supports the club like ours did not
They will get to PL and eclipse both us and Cardiff
That will be a bitter pill
However , that’s reality
Swansea has always been shat on both by local council , Senedd and Cardiff media

Wrexham are well set and will grow
They will struggle though on PL

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

I feel it was an absolutely disgusting decision by the WRU.
I also feel that all 4 regions should have stood together , instead of looking after themselves.
Rugby in Wales is different to football. Rugby in a wales doesn’t get enough bums on seats at region level. Which is crazy really as for example, a few close friends played for Neath in the 80s. I would often go and watch, there would by about 7000-8000 proper supporters crammed in. Now, the Ospreys can hardly get 4000 in the ground.

They rely heavily on the WRU funding them, about £7 million a year each, so have become lazy in respect of having to fund themselves.
However, Cardiff basically went bust and the WRU bailed them out.
Do the WRU think they will save money by having 3 regions ? They won’t.

As for the Wales rugby team, it’s a joke.
£100 and upwards for a ticket.
The ordinary fan is priced out. All you get are the well off people, usually spotted in jeans, shirt, jacket, and brown shoes. True.
Then the daffodil lot who haven’t a clue of any rules of rugby. Quite pathetic really.

Nest season get back to the Liberty ( I am the first to moan when they cut the pitch up, but to survive they need to be there). Supporters need to turn up, show that the Ospreys are worth keeping, with 10,000 minimum crowds.
Surely there is someone with dosh who would buy them and help fund them.
Show the WRU that they are wrong.

Great stuff
Absolutely right
How does Ed feel about it
A rugby coach , a Swansea man . Very odd he doesn’t post rugby
He knows the game , both codes
