He has more about him than Will Still. I sense that he is more intense, more serious, more determined and focused and he has done a good job. But it's another huge risk and with his lack of experience, things could end in tears. He has a contract for the rest of this season and next. I have a good feeling about Tonda despite his tender years. Will Still felt like an imposter, Eckert doesn't.. Tonda can get a tune out of a demoralised team, seems calm and considered.

"Derby County had been rooted in the Second Division for a decade before Clough's arrival, and had been outside the top flight for a further five years, their only major trophy being the FA Cup in 1946.

I don't think he'd have made it past that first season here. Of course, a big difference nowadays, is the lack of control managers have over transfers.
