Been chatting to someone this evening. Stated that West Ham may well be interested but the club have no knowledge or contact to say how much. Looks like the initial interest may be right ish. but no dialogue at all atm.
It’s all conjecture but the belief is the Swans wouldn’t take less than 8M, but we know how these things can start with a million here then there with add ons, payments throughout the length of contract etc. some add ons that any club buying would want I don’t think Vipotnik would get close to. Not sure he’s a PL player tbh. |  |

Vipotnik is vastly improved on last season, but I think he blows hot and cold and is very inconsistent. Any fee would need to be front loaded and not added, because as you say add ons are unlikely to be achieved, particularly with West Ham. I also doubt he is a Premier League player or even a top championship striker. |  | | |

Vipotnik is capable of creating something out of nothing. Not in a "flash of skill to get past a defender way", but in a "be careful of him anywhere near 25 yards out because one false move and he'll fire in a Thunderbastard" way. That will attract interest from other clubs.
Like Keith I'm not sure he's ultimately Prem quality, but for £10m a few outfits at that level may be prepared to take the gamble. Not sure we'd be tempted for anything lower than that considering his age and contract status. I think he's clearly one of the better strikers in the division and had he been playing for Coventry this season would probably have even more goals than he does for us. [Post edited 19 Dec 7:26]

We can’t afford to do this without another goal source.
I’d have let him go for peanuts in the summer but he’s improved so much and we’ve only now started creating consistent chances for him.
Under Sheehan he was living off long range/tight angle thunderbolts that weren’t really chances. At Stoke last week alone he got put through three times. If the team keep making clear chances, he’ll do even better in the second half of the season and his value will obviously increase. |  | | |

With a steady supply line of crosses and opportunities he will score . The problem is the supply has been poor , overhit , too slow inaccurate . He needs better service and that is down to the midfielders/wingers who need to up their game.
West Brom have started to score again because they have a natural goalscorer brought in from Norway Aune Hegabo They have moved Grant out wide who has pace and have Johnson on the other .He is getting a good steady supply and putting chances away. If they can stop concediing goals at the other end they will shoot up the table.Thats what we need improve the supply line and Tighten up the defence especially right hand side | | | |
