Aside from our own problems in attack, I see that one of our rejects - who we never gave a real first team chance to - is having some success.
Great that Dom Ballard's move is working out for him, and he is still only 20 years old.
11 goals and 2 assists in just 18 starts.
Transfermarket now values him at £800k, which is £300k more than we sold him for.
LO are only one league below us, down in 20th. So maybe even more impressive that he's managing to find goals in a struggling team.

Agree. I thought he was very average last weekend and being subbed after 60 mins, Bristol City obviously felt the same.

He was man of the match* against Wolves the other night, playing the full game. Came on for half an hour yesterday and was excellent. Seems to have grown in confidence and Moyes is trusting him more. The majority of fans want him to start every game now and I think he will after the international break.

Yep I heard Dibling was very good yesterday but I also hear you want to loan him out. I was listening to his post match interview yesterday . He clearly has the talent but he comes across as very shy and lacking in confidence. Sort his head out and he’ll be fine. I’ve always rated him but you need talent and determination to succeed . |  |

He clearly has the talent but he comes across as very shy and lacking in confidence. Sort his head out and he’ll be fine. I’ve always rated him but you need talent and determination to succeed . |
I don’t think Everton have got a squad big enough to loan him out, I think both him and George are going to be key players for them this season.
He does come across really shy particularly when it comes to the media stuff, but hopefully the club can protect him from that. George was interviewed after the United game the other week and he came across painfully shy too.
Dibling looks a different player this season, more settled. I think he’ll come good. | | | |

We had a 'golden generation' of youngsters in our academy - Dibling, Robinson, Amo-Ameyaw and Ballard - who will all benefit other clubs. They'll reach their peaks in 3 or 4 years' time. I guess the money we get for selling them helps Saints' finances. | |

You forget how young he is. At the beginning of this year, Dibling was still a teenager. He's 1½ years younger than Divin Mubama.
There are a lot of great players who hadn't broken into regular top flight football by the age of 20.
I agree with you though that we should keep these young players here for longer before we sell them so that we at least get some benefit from them on the pitch. [Post edited 20 Sep 11:55]

He got the assist the other night against Wolves. Everton do have some good young players, the worry is that Moyes won’t always play them, history shows that he will go for his favourites who tend to be older more established players. We will see. | | | |
