We all got a bit excited when Oriol came back but it was very obvious that his lack of match practice & lack of pace made him look very exposed in the few minutes he's had on the pitch.
So, was it a desperate mistake to bring him back.
We haven't got a very good track record when bringing back golden oldies.

Apparently he's on 25k a week , yet not even fit enough to play a part against L1 Doncaster.
I thought we signed him to play at least a chunk of the games and to be a leader type player.

I like the word "pounce" as much as the next man, but it would normally describe a wily fox leaping onto a tasty plump farmyard chicken.
So before" pouncing" SR need to decide is he a plump chicken or a 3 week old, half eaten, mouldy KFC chicken nugget. | | | |

I disagree. We have had a good record of 'reclaiming' players. It might be in the dim and distant, but Micky Channon, Graham Baker, Alan Ball and Kevin Davies were all good/great re-recruits.
More recently, with Dibling we made a net gain.
Ok, Lallana and Walcott maybe not, but overall we've done ok. |  |

You forgot to throw in the £125k a week he's on and contract until 2027 some time which will be an absolute major factor no matter where he goes
WHammers would have to throw a big slice of that to us before our lot would even think about taking him (which I hope they don't) | |
