| Mbengue 18:11 - Jan 17 with 2353 views | stainrods_elbow | I know he's hard to dislike in some ways with his, uh, kamikaze style, but f*ck me - most of the time he's an embarrassment when it comes to crossing a football to the point it makes you wonder how he turned pro. It was a shocking game, but Adamson looked like a sane(r) player when he came on, and I'd like to see more of him. | |

| Mbengue on 18:31 - Jan 17 with 2191 views | 7374Ranger | Agree that Mbengue’s crosses were poor , but he did put one that almost led to Kone scoring - the defender got to it and conceded a corner. I do agree that Adamson did well when he came on, but that was as a right winger (much better than Dembele). | | | |
| Mbengue on 19:04 - Jan 17 with 2064 views | Logman | He's fine, we don't need to get on his case. The red cards haven't materialised as everyone foretold and he is consistently putting in solid performances. An automatic starter every game. | | | |
| Mbengue on 19:17 - Jan 17 with 1995 views | Watford_Ranger | Rather give the kid a chance out wide than at full-back, especially away. Can’t be any less of a soft tart than Dembele, has a right foot and frees up KD to do his 20 minutes of running at the end rather than being half dead by the hour mark. | | | |

Dembele is just a mystery to me I find his performances infurating and his selfish play grating on the nerves plus sitting on the ground waving his arms high very childish . However our Manager seems to love him and starts most games while contributing very little (Leicester an exception and the West Ham equalizer ) I would love the regular match attendees to fill in the gaps on what we cannot see on tv please .

I’m just hoping that in the same way as with Madsen, the manager sees something worth persevering with. Because he’s certainly not worth his place otherwise

Thought Madsen was a shinning light going forward. The guy takes a touch then more often than not plays a pass to a team mate something the other 9 outfield players seem unable to do

I don't hugely rate but nor do I get the hate for Dembele, when we have a 'star striker' who contributes next to nothing, the pointless Varane, and the rapidly regressing Madsen getting free rides.

He was very good today. Broke up play, beat players even, passed it. Then it would be lost immediately by the winger/striker he played it into. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Definitely, but 6 months ago none of us had a clue how he was getting a game.

That's a bit of a myth. Sure he took time to settle into the club, country and most of all the frenetic nature of the league. There were times too when he was left out of the team due to seemingly being missing in (the) action. However, he always had quality in his locker. He showed glimpses of it in the early part of last season and then even more so towards the end. I did begin to doubt whether he could totally adapt after this season's Watford game but since then his form has consistently good or better.
| Mbengue on 09:56 - Jan 18 with 820 views | bosh67 | I think the thing with Mbengue is that he has no fear filter, so he just goes all out in every game. Showing my age but his 'take no prisoners' attitude reminds me of Gavin Maguire. | |

Problem with that is injury risk and he has been limping /hobbling/lying on the ground multiple times this year luckily so far without getting killed dead.Of course he will eventually get the straight red and probably injure some poor guy like Jimmy yesterday which is just so unfortunate for him hope its just a sprain not break .If Mbengue went through like that it was going to be red without question
| Mbengue on 16:11 - Jan 18 with 514 views | ingeminate | Mbengue has been great this season, final ball isn’t always there but he wins so many 50/50’s and is always looking to overlap down the right. Thought he was battling through an injury yesterday and wasn’t his usual dynamic self - overall great start and makings of a cult hero. [Post edited 18 Jan 16:26]
