Where does the blame lie? 23:03 - Jan 17 with 803 viewsMattFinish

Clearly it lies with Sports Republic but who in SR is the problem?

You can’t blame Spors because it was a 💩 show before he got here

You can’t blame Solak because he just puts the money in. So who is it that is making all the 💩 decisions?

Can’t even blame Wänkersen because he’s not really involved now

It's Solak and the company he leads. He is at the top. He has employed numerous senior staff who all do the same thing, making the same mistakes. After the Will Still debacle, Solak should have intervened and appointed an experienced manager. He is ultimately to blame. He has allowed all the appointments below him.

Solak for me too

He owns the club and its his money the funds it and if I remember correctly he said his was going to take a more hands on role after Kraft was moved out

I may be wrong but it appears to me that the whole organization has no idea of how to run a football club. The long list of poor managerial appointments, 2 relegations and 3 managers both times, the cost involved in hiring and then firing those managers must be eye watering. That's even before we get on to the backroom staff and player recruitment

We just seem to stumble from one bad decision to another and the fact that no lessons appear to be learnt from previous mistakes suggest that no-one is prepared to take responsibility or be held to account

There is one person who could stop this nonsense, the owner, surely he can't be happy seeing his investment going down the khazi?

Fail we may, sail we must

There is no direction, no strategy, no plan and dare I say it, not much interest.

The Buck in any organisation ultimately lies with the man, woman, chimp, or whoever is at the top of the tree (i.e. Chief Exec).

Make no bones, if things don’t get sorted or improve watch the fans walk away as there appears no appetite to start asking serious questions.

A once well established, well run Club is being cataclysmically destroyed.

Ready and waiting to mop up those European places......

It's not true to say that Ankersen isn't involved. As Solak told Alfie House in the summer, Ankersen is his personal advisor on football matters. When they were making the Tonda appointment, Ankersen was directly involved. The core group, including Ankersen, all attended the away game at QPR and they decided their plan in the days around that. Not saying that he is the only one making decisions, but he is definitely still involved. As Solak's personal advisor, he's not going to be completely ignored.

I think SR, Spors, the managers, the captain and the players all share the blame. As has been said elsewhere the whole culture seems wrong. Low standards are accepted. Ultimately that's down to SR, but the players set their own culture and many of them don't seem professional, committed or even seem to care enough. Throughout the season there have been too many times where they don't really seem up for it. Yesterday I would say Hull wanted it more.
