| So How Did The Bubble Trip To Pompey Go ! The Scene Report on 11:37 - Jan 26 with 601 views | Wints76 | Bit of hassle for me in that we went to get in the bus 30 mins before our planned 9am departure, but the bus was already full and there wasn't enough space for our party of 3 so we had to go on 3 separate coaches. Not too much of an issue as my son is 20 and probably preferred it, but could have been if he was younger I bought a bacon roll and coffee at SMS, and this is the first food or drink I have purchased there in a while and I won't be doing that again. Awful. Didn't buy anything at Fratton but my lad had a few beers. Atmosphere was nice and tense, but I was down near their Lower North so could only really hear that pocket of fans and ours apart from a few times, and mercifully couldn't hear the nonce ring his bell to warn people of his noncing Bus back to Southampton was fine, though would have been better if the driver had taken my 'HARD LEFT' advice when some of their fans were jumping out waving flags. Also saw a Saints fan proudly showing his shirt at a bus stop as we left. Did pass a broken down Saints coach as well entering Southampton Got back and realised I was absolutely knackered, so had a pint in Mayflower Village whilst I waited for the boy and went home | | | |

A day of being treated like farm animals whilst being charged through the nose for the privilege. Back in the day the facilities were crap, but at least it was cheap.

I saw all of what you saw the fella at the bus stop, the broken down coach, I went in the Painted Wagon when I got back as I had a bit of time for the bus home, I considered the Mayflower, but the Wagon had the football on

| So How Did The Bubble Trip To Pompey Go ! The Scene Report on 12:52 - Jan 26 with 387 views | Horndeansaint | Going out on a limb here. My day consisted of a total of 11 hours to get to a stadium only 12 miles from where I live and I was dreading it but to be fair, it was very well organised and safe and the blocking off of junctions and slip roads worked very well both in and out as there would have been gridlock if this was not done and plenty of opportunity for problems. Plenty of common sense in the planning of the route, the best bit being Eastern Road northbound being closed to allow the coaches assess to the secure area in Rodney Road. The game of wacky coach races back down the M27 was entertaining as well. I was speaking to a skate mate earlier and the corner in the north stand adjacent to where we were stood is the most skate mongrel infested part of the ground. They are there every match baiting the away fans on the basis that the stewards and police would save their skins if ever they got to a confrontation. Still, I very much appreciated how happy they seemed with us singing our songs and were even conducting our fans and smiling broadly. All in all, it was a lot better than I expected and a good fun day out. | | | |

It's just not worth the expense and hassle for me
