I agree with you about remaining civil on here. We've all got our opinions and (notwithstanding what Jelly believes) we're free to express them.
But roll this back to the years immediately post-Brexit and this forum was full of a lot more vitriol than it is now, so I wouldn't be too concerned. Sometimes a bit of robust debate is good.
As for your more general comment that the forum should be restricted to football, there's a football only thread if people don't want to get involved in other stuff. And, yes, people shouldn't post their other stuff on there but again I don't see too much harm in the other stuff on the non-footbal thread. It's not just the trivial political stuff that goes on there, it's the important stuff about biscuits and players that sound like animals too.
Also, yes, i could find another forum to debate politics etc but I'm on here and one thing about here is that for all the political differences and opinions there's a common support for Saints alongside all that.
I have my liberal-ish world views, and I learn a lot on here from fellow travellers who have completely different views. Even Jelly. |  |

I don't really understand what the plan is for this "war". If the plan is to destroy their facilities to prevent them from making nuclear weapons, I can understand that, so destroy their nuclear weapons and get out. Then leave them to it. Does the USA want regime change, which would mean running the country with hundreds of thousands of US troups on the ground (until they pull them out and the regime returns anyway)? Iran has appointed a new supreme leader who is exactly the same.as the one that got killed, so what has that achieved? He will just hide for as long as he needs to, until the US leaves, just like the Taliban. In the meantime, the cost of.petrol and energy prices will.go through the roof but for what? Very true.
It does help with a lot of the globalist agenda, doesn't it. Like making us all poorer (Klaus Schwab - "You will own nothing") with rising energy and fuel prices. Destablising financial markets, to facilitate the roll out of CBDCs. Identifying more sockpuppet baddies to justify spying on us all more. And creating division on religious lines.
Perhaps this is also stepping stone to starting a war with Russia.
In the same way that taking out Venezuela meant that there is now no risk to fuel shortages for the US and Israel military in starting this Iran war.
