According to the ssn reporter Rob Dorsett "Middlesborough won't be involved in the independent commission hearing.It will be the EFL (charge bringer and SFC (as the defendant)"

Implicit in this is that Saints have waived their rights to 14 days to respond.
Half full interpretation could be that the EFL have to look like they were prepared and had a contingency that expulsion could happen and recognize it will require material reworking of ticket sales, fixture dates and even venue. However, the combination of Saints agreeing to less than 14 days and EFL putting up a half hearted show (ie they still expect to go ahead as scheduled) implies there's an understanding we are not being expelled.
However, who knows? What a cluster we've created for ourselves... |
So as you say Saints have waived their right to respond in 14 days why would they do that? I would have thought taking the full 14 days would have created a huge headache foe the EFL and making it impossible for the game to be cancelled, so:
Do Saints have an agreement that if they shorten the period they will proceed to the final with a hefy fine? | |
