Only 1.8% of the population are non whites in East Dorset Ian, hardly a pressing issue for the genteel folk of this area.
I wouldn't know about that Jelly, being in West Dorset.
But as you've mentioned it, yes I am more concerned about the influx of East and North Dorset folk to these parts than Muslims.
It's not that I'm racist, some of my best friends are from other parts of the County, it's just that they're not like us and don't respect our traditions.

I didn't actually use the word 'all'; however, I was generalising.
I am talking about general demographic and sociological change and yes I think it's better to welcome it that fear it.
We can't stop it, it will happen whether we like it or not, so we are far better positioning ourselves to welcome it positively than getting into a bitter stew about how awful it is.
And that's not to say we can't try to influence it as we welcome it, but again far more likely to get a hearing if we are positive towards it that simply trying to crush it or shut it down.

There are loads of Islamic countries that are democratic, Indonesia being the largest and Malaysia with Islam being the main religion is very multi-cultural.

The town i grew up in, Woking, has always had a large muslim community, it has the first purpose built mosque in the country In my experience growing up there was nothing but positives living in a diverse community
I’m still very thankful now as the vast majority of people who look after my mum in her care home weren’t born in the UK
Whilst I appreciate this country isn’t perfect it’s certainly not facing some sort of cultural crisis
