Given how cheap West Ham made their tickets for their recent game against that other lot, I doubt they would have been pushing for us to make the price high.
Add in the £2 booking fee, and it's a pretty expensive watch for a game that we probably won't be taking very seriously. | |

West Ham charged £10 for adults and £1 for kids for their cup game with Pompey. Away fans got subsidised travel there too.

Why would they have a say? Clubs used to agree prices in FA Cup (not anymore) but not sure they did in the league cup.
Can see us giving West Ham a 5k allocation as we're clearly not gonna open the kingsland.

Those prices will keep fans away so the Club won't make any more than if they'd charged the same as West Ham did. One side of the stadium being made unavailable will also put off several thousand fans who don't want to stand behind the goal.

Yep, and if you’re not a season ticket holder or member, the general sale price is £ 25 for adults and £12.50 for under 18s.
So, if a guy and his misses want to take two kids for a holiday treat it will cost them £83 just to get in,let alone travel costs and money spent inside the stadium.

The club do have good policies in place on the pricing of kids' season tickets.
However, to try and get new fans in, this was a golden opportunity to invest in the Club's long-term future by charging £1 for kids, and no more than £15 for adults.
Massive opportunity missed by the Club. So, so short-sighted.

To me the only time he appeared vaguely interested was when he talked about developing the land around the stadium and even then he couldn’t tell us anything because it was confidential.
As you say, a marvellous opportunity to bring in some fresh blood missed, and given the pricing structure I suspect a lot of the old blood won’t bother either.

Like many have said the pricing is ridiculous for the fans but dare say fit the club it makes sense .
15,000 at £22.50 a head is £337000 if they were to charge a tenner then we would need 33000 their.
However the club have missed a good will gesture here , charge fans a tenner kids a fiver and then make more money on beer, pop, hotdog sales etc.
