| Smyth 08:37 - Oct 15 with 3022 views | T_Block | The wee lad appears to have gone up a level or two. West Ham defence were having massive problems with him and last night he stood out. What was the criticism of him previously-no end product? Very very important when Burrell is missing . And he is right about the fouls he is not given.Part of the game Refs are like that Please stay fit . | | | | |

Are these stats right? I can't see where they have come from? I haven't been his biggest fan. I think he is average at best and working hard doesn't mean you should be in the team, that's the minimum any player should do. However, he is finally impacting games rather than just running and being fouled. Long may it continue!
| Smyth on 16:19 - Oct 15 with 637 views | OxfordHoops | He really has stepped up over the last few games and making a big difference for us. I’m sure we’ve all had frustration with him over the last few years, as we’ve all seen the ability he has. The way we’re playing really seems too get the best out of him, long may it continue. A strong candidate for player of the month URss | | | |

His work rate was never in doubt but the final ball/decision making has been poor. He looks a lot more direct and its probably helping that JS wants his players to be quick and aggressive. I love his defensive work, what a pain in the arse he is. However, I really think everyone should look at the coach. JS is making average players good. That is the sign if a top top coach.

| Smyth on 15:00 - Oct 15 by BrianMcCarthy | Also, I'm amazed that fans are amazed that other fans think differently to them. That has always happened and always will. Try and get five fans in a pub to agree on anything. I mean *anything*. Day of the week-type stuff. |
Amazingly I disagree with you Brian......... That's a joke by the way, I do agree with you!

| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

It's Smyths' last 7 games for QPR, not the last 7 games QPR played. That's why you have not seen where they are from. The point is, he's now delivering like a Champ winger (showing you can develop when you get older, as he's 29 now). He should start against Brum now as he's a key player. He's won 2 pens in his last two games, so defenders will be wary of tackling him in the box. So, he should run right into the box, dribbling like a hungry man at an all-you-can-eat buffet. They don't dare tackle him for fear of conceding a pen. He should create maximum havoc like this. Poku should start on the right; this will leave Kolli up front as the three for now. Kolli should drop deep, drawing the defence in, and Smyth runs in behind, and we drop it over the top. Then they will have a problem as he accelerates away.

Ive liked him from day one , works hard , trys hard , leaves it all out on the pitch and scores some wonderful goals. He bleeds blue and white as they say! Im glad others are feeling about him as ive always done. |
I was a bit sorry when he left us as I always thought he had potential and it's a delight to see him not just return but get better and better.
