Still smacks of short termism from the board to go after a 33 (34 in Sept) centreback. However, he is a better defender than he is given credit for and at this stage what he might have lost in the limited pace he had, he will still get by on experience.
As said above, if the attitude is 100% and dogged then he could be another Ryan Nelsen.
I believe he is a free agent and so at least this will be a wages only deal.
