Now this is a bloke who should be furloughed. Though asking the State to pay 80% of his wages would be sacrilege.

Poll: Does anybody think Saints can get promoted this season?

Im not saying he is good enough or otherwise but if you write a player off after 8 league starts and 8 as sub then that isn't giving him a fair chance

Josh Sims did more in less game time - yeah hes not afforded a chance.

Whilst i dont disagree it's hard to see the player who looked good in the champions league for Basel as the same one who has looked like a pub player we ended up with.

I can't tell you why Sims doesn't appear to be rated by Ralph Hasenhuttl but that isn't the question here . perhaps it is that Elyounoussi has performed for the other clubs he has played for Celtic on loan and Basel, whereas Sims has not impressed at Reading and been ok at NY Red bulls , but that in a league where Bradley Wight Phillips was considered a legend

Probably because aside from a couple of decent sub apperances he's done nothing to earn a place.

I've been following Elyounoussi's progress at Celtic quite closely because, in the main, I was hoping that he would finally come good and return to Saints a much better, more settled player.

He started off there very well. The fans loved him. He got injured for quite a while. Came back. Was 'okay' for a time. Got injured again. Pandemic came along and that was that.

So, in effect - I learned nothing.

Ali Dia once got into a good goal scoring position for Saints, but was never given another chance !! :-)
