| Saints Take On Coventry City Today on 10:09 - Sep 1 with 1659 views | PatfromPoole | Why do Saints have to be so secretive about these things? I presume they won’t be putting it on their You Tube channel so that we might actually be able to watch it..... | |

Coventry seem to be treating it as a first team game so it's our U23s vs Coventry. I would be surprised if our U23s beat them as they never seem to do very well when they come up against lower league teams in the FA Trophy. https://www.coventrytelegraph. [Post edited 1 Sep 2020 14:10]

I don't know how much they've changed their squad but only 3 of today's team played in Coventry's last league game in March: a 1-0 win at Ipswich. Coventry seem to be giving a few squad players a game so our U23s might be in with a chance, although their results last season were awful partly because most of the players are only 18 or 19.

I know that Robins had a major 'level up' went they went from L2 to L1, so would guess he will do the same thing this time. If club's have 'natural' place in the league system, I would have thought Cov should be a Championship side, especially after those 34 years in the top flight. The owners too will be keen to avoid a drop back to L1 so that they can maybe find someone willing to buy at a price that might allow them to recoup some of their disastrous investment.
