Even their best players are only on three times that amount (Jeremy Pied, who's a reserve at Lille, gets paid more than all of them) so if we tripled Perraud's salary, he'd be over the moon. It doesn't sound much but the £10 million we have got for these two will allow us to buy perhaps 2 £15 -20 million pound players as fees above this level are usually paid in installments so we can but £5 million down on two players. More important is the wages saved and now available to be used elsewhere Slowly but surely we are trimming the deadwood that has held us back, only a couple more to go

Doesn’t it work both ways though? Surely Norwich and Nice aren’t paying wholly up front for Gunn / Lemina? Accept that getting the salary bill down is an undoubted benefit.

£100m debt is not a nightmare for the club! Whilst in the Prem they can service that debt without any big issues, the club is worth minimum double that at present! Stay in the Prem and everything will be rosy, at present the club is standing on its own two feet and yes that includes loans, relegation would obviously change that, but that goes for any club!

A little bit of sense here, , people speculate about how much debt the club is in and it then spirals, 18 months ago the club took out a borrowing facility and they admitted that during the covid 19 crisis they are losing £3 million a month { a drop in the ocean compared to some other clubs) Every club in the Premier League is in debt at the moment, yet some seem to just carry on spending as usual

Apart from Ian McShane, the rest of the cast could have been Millwall supporters going from the language. His was equally profane, but I don't see him as a Millwall supporter somehow. I did an assignment in Oman a few years ago with a mate. He was an avid Deadwood fan, and we watched a couple of DvD episodes every night in the apartment. I too was immensely disappointed when they decided not to continue the series. I loved the "Talking Heads" bits.
