| KWP and Romeu 23:25 - Jan 22 with 1390 views | A1079 | Really nice words by KWP today when he was interviewed. He seems to really appreciate the opportunity we have given him and he puts his heart and soul in his playing. I was worried we might lose his faith when RH did not seem to fancy him early on in the season. A word for Romeu as well who I think made 200 games today. What a professional he has been for us. I will admit he has had his moments when he has given away silly free kicks that have been costly but was an excellent acquisition for us. | | | | |

But I was just reading that Grealish actually waited in the tunnel for Romeu at halftime after the incident, still though just shows of how Romeu is one hard/intelligent player, both on and off the ball.

Competition's hotting up for the left back spot. We have to find a place for KWP somewhere but Perraud had probably his best game in a Saints shirt today. Small must be knocking on the door soon, too. I can't imagine he came here to be third choice.

Perraud has been looking shit hot for a few weeks now I think. Got some fire in him and a goood footballer by the looks of it. Love a proper left back.

Agreed, I was watching Romeu and he was right in Grealish ear, pushing him etc he was obviously having good fun doing it because the Alice band wearing girl was reacting everytine.

Yes I saw that on a City site. Grealish was seemingly waiting for Romeu who simply looked down and just walked past. The City fans call Romeu a coward for doing so, but to me that sounds like being professional - not some clogger in the local league. In any event, I’d place money on Romeu to smash Grealish in a straight forward punch up…

i think as good as Tino undoubtedly is play a left back like Perraud where he should and KWP at RB has us looking far more solid and attacking minded when needed I wish Ralph would try Tino at RM I dint see why that would work and no one else has nailed that position down Thought Armstrong was off the boil again yesterday, he does not seem the same player since this calf/covid business

No chance Before Rom could get anywhere the cheating, diving, whinging little cvnt, Grealish would be rolling round like he'd been shot and begging for the ref to get his red card out. Grealish should have been booked (or worse) for his retaliatory shove on Rom, end of story and VAR should have brought it to the ref's attention. It was amusing to see how the City players all started to dive, moan and try to get Saints players sent off, when things weren't going their way result wise. Jesus should have got a yellow for his blatant dive and so should Rodri for his tactical trip, but no, City players aren't allowed to be booked - just as we saw with Walker at the Etihad. VAR tried their best to find them something to win the game with, but thankfully, despite countless checks from every angle, there was nothing conclusive to award them. (A bit like var for Man U v Villa, looking and looking until they finally found half a poxy reason to disallow Villa's goal)
