How he’s picket Maguire, Shaw, Phillips and Grealish, is just baffling! But then again, any players who play for a “top 6” are almost always gonna gain the edge over players that don’t, irrelevant of how decent they actually are! And similar story for why he’s taking 6 fullbacks with him. As Maguire kinda makes sense as yeah he’s been rubbish for Man U, but like Pickford, he’s always performed for England in his defence, but now as we’ve seen from Pickford being dropped, it shouldn’t necessarily matter as much. But Shaw, Phillips and Grealish haven’t done it to the same levels as Maguire has. Should’ve taken KWP over Shaw, Maddison (who’s done decent for Leicester) for Grealish and maybe Sancho for Phillips as well as White for Maguire. Still quite surprised to see that he’s dropped Henderson and Pickford, although I think he’s spot on for that, as I don’t think ether have been good enough for a while now

Good grief. He hasn’t dropped Pickford; he is injured.

Oh well that explains it, and actually just had a look and it looks like Henderson is also injured, knew he wouldn’t be able to do something that makes sense

As you say, Maguire, maybe cos he's a "favourite and loyal" But TAA, Shaw, Mount, Phillips? Players on form? WTF They were saying on the radio this morning England are shouting out for an RB, and we have KWP, on form and can also play at LB where we are also struggling, although Chilwell maybe can do the job but hasn't he been out injured for most pf the season so far? Oh well ........................

Yeah well unfortunately it doesn’t matter of who’s in charge but the “top 6” teams players will always get the upper hand over any other teams

Pickford has been excellent for a number of seasons for Everton and has barely put a foot wrong for an England side that reached a World Cup semi and Euros final including saving a number of crucial penalties. The media and clueless fans who follow them have an agenda against him after he assassinated Van Dijk, but he’s by far the best England goalkeeper. He’s injured by the way until after the international break.

Dunno about that, as I remember loads questioning who should start before both the last Euros and World Cup, as yeah he has been great at these events and for England (like I said before when referencing him to Maguire), but he didn’t seem to be as good for Everton. And even then with how good the likes of Pope and Ramsdale (especially Pope) have been recent seasons, so I wouldn’t put him as a “by far” the best of the 3.

Pope is useless with the ball at his feet sadly. It’s the one real weakness in his game. Ramsdale is a basket case. Hugely error-prone.

Yeah well until Pickford does mess up on the big stage for England then I’m not too fussed over who’s in goal, but at the same time I do think other goalies should also be given the chance.

Ramsdale is all over the show at times and often goes down far too early making it easy for the attackers to score. If he didn’t play for one of the London media darlings, he’d never be considered. Agree on Pope, he’s a fantastic shot stopper and commands his box really well. As others have said, he’s quite poor with his kicking, which is a big part of the modern game. People, especially in the media, are desperate for Pickford to mess up, for reasons unknown to me. But he’s been brilliant for Everton, recently made captain, which seems to have gone under the radar by those who constantly question him. If he joined Spurs tomorrow, he’d be elevated to legendary status.
