Agree re A.Armstrong and Charles, both looking good and a free kick every bit as good as a JWP. effort.
Just don't want to lose Che Adams.

It was a better performance than sheff Wednesday. The attack is looking much more purposeful. Martin reads the game well

But let’s drop this narrative that we are down to our barebones. We had a team that cost 80mill and another 30mill on the bench. We then have another 70mill of talent in the stands!
Every other club in the league would kill for those barebones.

Poll: Has the Ross Stewart deal already paid off as Nick says?

Enjoyed reading your review, summed up perfectly with
"Something good is building at Southampton FC both on and off the pitch.".

It's not an opinion, if you go to the games, you can feel it. The fans are smiling, chatting, buzzing, positive and loving the championship. Trying to win a title is much more fun than struggling to survive. The proper fans are back too, no more tourists. St Mary's almost sold out once again next week. Russell Martin is a breath of fresh air, full of respect for his players and the fans.

The goal celebrations are full of passion and excitement. The team is giving its all, something we couldn't say last season. And agree about Charles. He was immense in midfield. And to think we still have Smallbone, Alcaraz, and Downes to come in. Both Armstrongs are improving every game. It's going to be a fun season that's for sure.

Totally agree the feel good factor is back for majority of our supporters, though a few seem only to happy to find faults ( which of course there are a few), rather than seeing the many positives

It’s so nice to go to games thinking we have a chance to win a game, the style of play is entertaining possession football, and the fans at games are loving every minute of it.

I'm really pleased for Adam Armstrong, played out of position by the last three 'managers' but never let his head drop, even amongst the criticism.
And it's looking like those who are still here really want to play for Russell Martin, unlike Jones and even worse under Selles last season, the difference being that there's a system and a plan B.
