Pre-season training 09:24 - Jun 26 with 1096 viewsPatfromPoole

When is it that the lads meet up so that they can:-

- compare ink recently applied at tattoo parlours
- share tales of jaunts to Dubai, Vegas etc.
- compare new hair colours
- gossip about how much money they could earn if they get a move to a Prem club
- talk about who the best agent is to sort the above for them

Sorry, I meant to say, when do they start their extensive fitness work and learn the tactics of the new manager?

Please excuse my moment of brain fog.

You didn't mention the colour of the new Bentley they've just ordered as they all believe they are good enough to get a move back to a Premiership club and earn zillions

They could probably buy a new Bentley out of their loyalty bonuses they will be getting on July 1st - which reminds me, whilst on the subject of loyalty bonuses, I think they should not be paid to players still under contract until September after the transfer window is shut as pocketing the extra dosh on July 1st then naffing off to another Club a week or two later is not my definition of loyalty.

Agreed.

However, it could be argued (and probably is done by agents) that contracts run until 30 June, and the timing of the transfer window is not within the players’ control.

We do need to get cracking with pre-season training though. They need to get used to this tactic of boring the oppo to death with attacking moves involving 500 passes of the ball.

I agree with the proposal to delay till September, there is no reason why it should not be delayed until September . yes contracts run to July 1st, but it is only a matter of altering contracts going forward, trouble is it needs to be all clubs doing it, otherwise players will just refuse to sign and go to a club that will offer them the bonus in July
