I left a few minutes before their 4 year-old scored goal number 5.
One of the main reasons I left was because I could not stand the sight of anybody potentially clapping our lot off at the end.
Did anybody on here do this? If so, would be intrigued as to why. |  |

I stayed until the end not least to join in with the endless rendition of "oh when the saints" which I thought if nothing else showed that we were there until the end. A few did clap, but not many. The manager did come over and acknowledge us and a few reluctant players.
Your point about the young lad scoring is one to not ignore. Look at Brighton and the young lad there who scored yesterday and yet at Southampton we seem reluctant to give our youngsters a chance. I am thinking of Ballard here. We were not always like this - Shearer is the marked example of someone who was selected early and Moran to name but 2. | | | |

Agree on Ballard, we seem a bit reluctant to play our academy youngsters but throw in a city lad straight away, look at the kid Brighton have scoring for fun. Alan Shesrer probably would have been loaned out by this lot |  |
