Yes agree. Bazunu was at fault for at least two of the goals against Boro but strangely this wasn’t mentioned in the report. We all have our favourites I guess. |  |

I focused on the errors because we are comparing goalkeepers and their ability to be our number 1, if we had signed an outfield player who had barely played in the last two year and whose only experience was 71 games in the Israeli league and bunged him into the first team, this message board would not be slagging Sport Republic off in all directions.
There have been plenty of posts that have made it clear they don't want him at any cost, he wasn't great in the 4-0 tanking but he was no worse than anyone else in the team that day, no one gave him leeway and said well he produced a worldy to get us a point against Millwall and likewise at Birmingham to get us a point, he had improved of late.
Because he will be in the last year of his contract and so we will want to shift him rather than keep him and then let him go for nothing |  |

Im not defending Daniel Peretz, that 2nd goal was horrendous. On that showing he looks like another chump and only the club can explain why they think hes a better option. Just for once wouldnt it have been great if the club went for the sensible option like Sunderlands Patterson.
But Baz is a poor keeper that hasnt improved in 4 years with us. There is no way anyone will be paying 8mill for him. | |

Nick instead of slagging off the fans saying they want anyone but Bazunu surely why don’t you question why everybody is saying that in the first place , surely if he was any good they wouldn’t have that opinion of him or are we all wrong and you’re right ? . We all have opinions but we can all see he isn’t very good nor is McCarthy and yes Peretz made an error for the 2 nd goal but let’s see what he’s like after 4 or 5 games first maybe ? | |

I don’t want to bad mouth Nick, he does a great job with this site and his loyalty can’t be faulted. However he has always tended to jump to the defence of players scapegoated by the crowd and equally can pick holes in players the fans like- it is ironic that Nick is dismissive of Bazunu’s stats when I remember him picking holes in Kelvin Davis’ shots to goal ration in lg 1. There is definitely a sense that he thinks he sees things others don’t. Enough said though, I have a lot of respect for Nick.
For what it’s worth I agree with him that Bazunu has improved but I still don’t think he is difficult enough to beat and low shots in particular go past him too easily, especially to his left. | | | |
