Southampton V Queens Park Rangers The Verdict on 16:59 - Nov 2 with 258 viewsSaintBrock

If ever there was a game of two halves this was it, a frankly disgraceful first half followed by a scintillating second, no doubt promted by Tonda Eckert's version of a rocket up the R's team talk at HT.

The worst offender in the pre-interval debacle was Manning who was sloppy with his passing, absent in his defending and generally piss poor in his decision making. Only Eckert can explain why he kept himon the pitch after the interval. Surely Welington is not that bad as his late goal in a two or three minute appearance testifies,

In the end Saints dominated proceedings and with a bit more imagination and flair could have and probably should have doubled their tally. Games are often won or lost in the midfield and we have four very good players in that position, now it seems Barnaby Williams might be adding to that total soon.

JWP is a revelation under this coaching team, no longer the slow and ponderous sideways and backwards crab passing but now adept at finding space, collecting the ball and turning to find a forward pass or run.

Overall, what looked like a very uncomfortable afternoon turned into a mini celebration. Onwards to Tuesday and more of the same if they have anything left in their legs. Downes looks Okay and fingers crossed Jander will get some time as well.

A disgraceful first-half??!!??

We would have been 3-0 up if it were not for an abysmal refereeing decision and Matsuki missing a sitter.

You certainly have high standards…….

Poll: If we were today re-instated to the play-off final, would you go on Saturday?
