Jacob Maddox 18:01 - Feb 2 with 1968 views | this_charming_man | Signed him on loan from Chelsea. Seems very strange we’ve Loaned a player to play in our under 23 side. He doesn’t sound much kop either couldn’t get a game at tranmere on loan there this season. Surely the who point of the youth team is the infamous pathway to the first team do why not use an U18? Really weird to loan a player to play for our youth team.

Why aren’t we trying out the under 18s though? It just seems a bit weird to loan s player you the youth team. Never heard of that before

Jacob Maddox on 19:51 - Feb 2 with 1449 views | DorsetIan | It does seem a bit unusual but maybe, although the main promise to him is game time in the U23s, he is also being considered as emergency cover in midfield, as Slattery has gone. Although nothing much seems to have happened for him at Tranmere, he has been at Chelsea for a long time, has been picked for England Youth squads and seems to have had a good loan spell at Cheltenham. Sounds like he needed somewhere where he can move on from the disappointing Tranmere loan, and maybe the U23s are in need of a shake up, which maybe he can offer more than an U18. But if you don't know Charming Man, not sure how you expect the rest of us to have a clue.

I think he obviously is seen as a player with talent, but he hasn't flourished, will probably be let go by Chelsea in the summer so we are taking a look at him, see if he is worth a punt

Jacob Maddox on 05:43 - Feb 4 with 1136 views | areasix | Also Frank and his team want to see how good the U23 setup is at Soton with regard to lending us a couple more promising ones next year. He things Ralph has a team that can get the best out of him because he is well down the pecking order with the Chelsea under 23s which are well talented. Also easy to keep tabs on , 1.5 hrs not in somewhere like bloody Liverpool miles away from home.

How much are Frank and his team paying us for training their youngsters?

Jacob Maddox on 06:02 - Feb 4 with 1127 views | areasix | Not enough but let’s face it he cannot send them to any big club academy’s as they are swamped with talent where not at present.

So, is this the beginning of a new scheme to raise cash by renting out slots in our academy to other Premier League clubs?

Jacob Maddox on 12:30 - Feb 5 with 934 views | 130yrs_and_one_Cup | I think it's a great idea for your club, as if you are honest the academy isn't producing much anymore, the only 2 young players of note were pinched from Rennes or Orient. The only decent player your academy has produced in the last 5 years is Targett.

Even your humour is living in the dark past. Not that 'just' English Internationals are that important, but the off the top of my head 50's 3 England internationals 60's 1 70's 1 80's 2 90's 1 10's 1 [Post edited 5 Feb 2020 13:04]

Deflecting again? In the last 5 years, our academy has solely produced 1 full International (3 part produced), Yours has solely produced 1 Kind? In terms of towns producing, I think you should keep quite about your town. This century, our town has produced 6 full Internationals (half of them for England). Your town can't get anywhere near this figure.

Jacob Maddox on 17:32 - Feb 5 with 795 views | dirk_doone | Take your pick: England internationals. Certainly, in addition to our 2 other players, our sole representative was Sam Magri, and yours was Lloyd Isgrove. Not great players tbh, but then again we don't profess to have a superb academy.

Imagine proudly claiming 3 England internationals from your town as a win despite them having never gone anywhere near your football club. Tragic
