Q Magazine is to close after publishing for 34 years. Sad news. Although I stopped reading it some time ago I was an avid reader in the early years and traded up after years of reading the NME, Sounds and the Melody Maker in the 70’s. |  | | |  |

Thought most magazines and news papers were designed to fold down the middle

I loved Q.
But the NME became a bit cliquey in it's favoured music styles and became boring and predictable as a result (well, for me anyway). |  | | |

I stopped reading Q a few years ago, Mojo & Uncut are far better and concentrate not only on older acts but up and coming talent, far superior to Q in the last 5 years or so |  |
