Cannot stand them on the whole but it would seem that they have had a change in recruitment policy and it’s paying off
As opposed to splashing big name cash they seem to be picking players in positions they really need and it’s working

Fair play to Moyes, this is probably the first time since he left the club that he’s been able to put his stamp on it and do the things he did at Everton. Strong at the back, fast on the break, goal scoring midfielder who is good in the air (as in Cahill and Fellaini).

Not having fans in questioning every move has helped as has binning off Mr West Ham Mark Noble who is bog average and hides when managers get the chop, year in, year out.

Despite the hatred from many of their fans towards their owners, they have continued to consistently spend. It appears that their more recent purchases have actually come off for once and have made a difference to their performances.

That Soucek looks quality in midfield and scores regularly. Bowen and Benrahma look decent and obviously Lingard got off to a flyer last night.

West Ham had 20 shots against Villa last night - as did we against Villa last Saturday. The difference is, they scored more goals last night, than we have scored in the league this year !! We just can't buy a goal at the moment, but hopefully that will change on Saturday.

West Ham, Aston Villa, Everton, Leeds, Leicester, Wolves even Brighton and Palace invest in their team. They all have a higher net spend than us. Fans are entitled to question it, especially after the other night. As for West Ham, yeah Moyes is just right for them and has done an excellent job. But they have experienced, quality PL players in their team: they have invested.

I want to be irritated by West Ham, but I'm not, I've never bet a bad West Ham fan, they are pretty much all decent. Polar opposite to every Spurs fan I've met.

Out of interest what is the West Ham wage bill against ours? As I’m sure you understand, it is easier to attract better quality players if you have deeper pockets. Also if you listen to West Ham fans over the last few years they have been very frustrated by the owners. They are having a good season. We were having a good season until the recent injury crisis.

Not sure about their players, but I know for a fact that during Pellegrini’s time even support staff such as the first team trainer were on £500k pa plus substantial perks, so the players wedge must be colossal...

I don't believe that for a minute.

Care to divulge said facts to us lesser mortals?

He was in a property I rented and needed a reference from his employers confirming his salary. There it was in black and white on West Ham headed stationery signed by one of their directors. I’m not in the habit of fibbing, Blue.

In fact this was a few weeks before Pelligrini was publicly confirmed as their managed so I could have cleaned up had I had the sense to nip to the bookies...
